Kingston Garden Addition

A single-story ranch house in Kingston, NY receives a new addition and interior renovation. The project repurposes an existing small bedroom as a bathroom, closet, and hall to the new, larger bedroom.

The addition is supported on helical piles—avoiding excavation, allowing precise positioning relative to the existing structure, and eliminating the need for a concrete pump truck on a site with challenging access. The building envelope is carefully detailed with continuous exterior insulation, air sealing, and high-performance woodfiber insulation to produce a quiet, comfortable interior.
